Personal Project “Month of Rebounds”
Take care! A lot of gifs.
Last times I was focused more on design for augmented and virtual realities, on the full-time job I’m dealing mostly with managing and user experience. After working on some AR demos that involved UI design, I started realizing that my skills are not getting better. Also sometimes by searching for inspiration on Dribbble, I was noticing styles that I would like to try, but it was clear that I will never have a chance to try all of them.
To pump my craft and test as much as possible design solutions I decided to make “Month of Rebounds.” From today, every lunch during next 31 days I’ll choose one shot, which style is new for me. I will create rebound by trying to repeat, reconsider or rethink it’s style. I’ll do my best for placing me out of my comfort zone and learn as much as possible new approaches.
Day 1
Shot by Zhenya Rynzhuk for Sochnik design studio.
I like nice clean style and effect on highlighted option.
Day 2
Shot by Kevin Vay
Honestly, I just wanted to play with skeuomorphic style.
Day 3
Shot by Ales Nesetril for STRV
It isn’t really by rules of Month of Rebounds as AR is my main focus, but I was unable to miss the chance to play with approaches that Ales Nesetril used.
Day 4
Shot by Never-stop for Radesign
I just wanted to play with such cute and clean icons style.
Day 5
Shot by Mega Putri Caesaria
Combining sneakers and Pantone colors is the great idea of Mega Putri Caesaria. Inspired by another project sneakAR by Jan Crisologo I decided to make the concept that shows real size Air Max sneakers in different PANTONE colors.
Day 6
Shot by Colin Zyrek
More experiments with cute animation on clean and beautiful nav bar designed by Colin Zyrek.
Day 7
Shot by Katia Marmyzova for Arounda
Today I tried to repeat cute style of animation by @Katia Marmyzova
Day 8
Shot by Cosmin Capitanu
Concepts of Cosmin Capitanu are so inspiring. I wanted for a long time to play with such AR UI.
Day 9
Shot by Webshocker — Matjaz Valentar
I made the concept of 360 VR shop.
Day 10
Shot by Nick Buturishvili
Another experiment with 360 VR interface. This time I used the amazing style of @Nick Buturishvili.
Day 11
Shot by J.HUA
I played with futuristic semitransparent style for AR.
Day 12
I made the nice and clean style more immersive in 360 VR.
As in travel, the most important are impressions.
Day 13
Today I made rebound on my own shot.
I extended animation to show how to open second section and scrolling interaction. It feels pretty natural, try to move your fingers like this 😉👉
Day 14
Shot by Grégoire Vella
I played with graphs in VR environment.
Day 15
Shot by Mohamed Chahin
I had some fun with C4D.
Day 16
Shot by uixNinja
Would be great to have adjustable augmented controls around a laptop. But what if we get AR goggles, we’ll not need laptops at all?
Day 17
It would great listen to music in the beautiful fully immersive VR environment.
Day 18
Another rebound on my own shot.
It’s concept how could look like Apple Watch Icons in 3D.
Day 19
Shot by Kostya Sobol
View real objects in 3-dimensional space make so much sense for me.
Day 21
My old shot about Place UI Kit
After designing for AR/VR, you will see all interfaces in volume.
Day 22
Rebound on my shot.
Found another area where context is so essential and AR could be handy.
Day 23
Rebound on my shot.
I’m looking forward to shopping in 3d.
Day 24
Rebound on my shot.
The concept of seamless combining UI, AR, and VR into one flow.
Day 25
Rebound on my shot.
Added a little bit of motion to one of the previous shots.
Day 26
Rebound on my shot.
The concept of AR tool for Interior Design.
Day 27
Rebound on my shot.
Another render of AR tool for Interior Design. The previous one with environment looks too messy, therefore I made this one without context.
Check out the full video on YouTube.
Day 28
Rebound on my shot.
The concept of AR tool for Interior Design. Another attempt to make a clean presentation.
Check out the full video on YouTube.
Day 29
Shot by Anano Miminoshvili
The best way to understand how big is a whale is to see him in a VR.
Day 30
Rebound on my shot.
The concept of AR Ring.
Day 31
Rebound on my shot.
Showing weather conditions in VR helps to understand how it will feel.
It was the absolutely exciting month. I found out tons of interesting technics, personal biases, insights about Dribbble community, and approaches that help to pump up creativity to the next level.
Soon I will come up with an article where I’ll describe everything that I learned.
UPD Here is the sum up article:
